Frequently Asked Questions
I don’t have a “yoga” body. Can I still practice yoga?
Contrary to the image of svelte contortionists you might see on TV or in magazines, there really isn’t a yoga body type. People of all ages, weights, and flexibilities can reap the benefits of a dedicated yoga practice.
Is yoga a New Age religion?
While there is a strong spiritual element, yoga is not a religious belief system. People of all religions and creeds can complement their personal philosophies with the spiritual awareness yoga can bring about.
I have really stiff joints and can barely touch my toes. Can I practice yoga?
Yes, you can and you’ll be amazed how quickly your joints will loosen and your flexibility improves. Choosing the right yoga class is important when starting out, so select a class like restorative or basic yoga to learn the postures that can help alleviate health concerns.
I have high blood pressure. I don’t know if I can do all of the inversions I’ve seen yoga students do.
Most yoga poses can be modified to accommodate health conditions. The best advice is to notify your yoga teacher of health concerns you may have enabling them to guide you through a safe practice that best meets your needs and limitations. Inversions, as well as other poses, can be altered so that you receive the same benefits without the risk.
How much does it cost for a class? Do you have packages and drop-in rates?
Our rates are very competitive to other studios in Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati.
You’re located in Covington. Will I be able to find anywhere to park?
There is plenty of street parking where the studio is located.
